The specially designed narrow rungs offer an added advantage, making it easier for the child to practice this skill. (Just don't stand on it yourself - leave that to your little one!)
The bottom of the playpen is lined with a semi-hard material that allows you to maintain a standing position, while also securing falls. All elements of the playpen are easily washable, so it is easy to keep it clean. For the Woodies® wooden playpen, you can buy a dedicated mattress, which can also be used as a play mat. The playpen can be used with or without a mattress (photos of the bottom in the product specification). In order to maximize the safety of the baby, it is recommended to use the wooden playpen together with a dedicated Woodies® mattress with a height of no more than 6 cm.
